Day 157

It only takes the smallest thing to ruin one's resolve. Just one pesky little straw to break the camels back. One tiny little speck on the horizon. The smallest thing. And that thing? The freakin' black hair that insists on growing out of my chin!!!! I can feel it growing. I swear I can actually see it growing. I pluck it out and the next day it is back again. It used to cling to the inner chin skin making plucking a tad painful, but now it doesn't bother. It just laughs and slips out easily saying "I'll be back" in its Arnie voice. It's incredibly disheartening. They say to keep your friends close and your enemies even closer. I have you in my sights little black chin hair ... I will befriend you ... possibly even nurture you ... and just when you think you are in your comfort zone ... WHAMO!!!! The light sabor will come out and you will be lasered little friend.

  1. Hi Leanne, I like your use of the word "WHAMO!!!!" lol my daughter (Nicole) says that a lot too :D It's pretty cool that you started your blog in Oct and do it every day! I started mine at the same time and have committed to a post a day as well (thanks for following btw - Nicole and I appreciate it!) I look forward to reading your posts!

  3. OMG! I have one of those too and I'm only 28! It grows underneth my chin so at least it can't be seen, which menas I can't see it either and so Mr.P has to pluck it out for me! My God, if it's starting now what will I be like in 12 years when I'm forty? I'll probably have a beard! Better start investing in that razor company now me thinks!

  4. You've got to love the 40 year old mane. We're all just tapping into our inner lioness ...

  5. Tweezers in the glove compartment of the car. Traffic light entertainment. From one that has what feels like a crop of the hairy little buggers.

  6. Ah, but you must fondle and feverously fester obsessive thoughts about said hair. Then, just when you think you have cured yourself of this fascinating fixation *PLOP* up pops another hair, eerily similar but coarser and curlier...
