Day 187

You are not going to believe this. But I think the bulldog was telling me something. Go back to day 184. The bulldog in the tree during my moment of creative excitement – he was telling me something. The surge that went through me was some sort of universal energy telling me not to ignore the signs.

Ok, so yesterday I decided to find my seaweed and make it part of the solution. Again, you are going to have to read a previous post to have a clue what it is I am on about. Go to Day 186.

So I went in search of Government promises and old ABC radio transcripts and press releases and general stuff to prove that I had heard somewhere that the Government was making a commitment to positive psychology in schools. You see, my plan was to market this to the publishers so that they knew that my subject matter being “specialised” was a good thing. But I got all deflated when I couldn’t find anything. I was trying to turn my specialised genre into the reinforced walls of the Great Wall of Leanne but I was finding far too many brick walls and was therefore doing lots of head banging in the process. Very frustrating. Not a happy beaver …

Then I thought of my bulldog. And I went looking for a publisher with a dog! Sounds odd I know, but I found one. And when I started reading their website, looking at their authors, checking out their books and generally immersing myself in their work I started to cry. And I cried and cried and cried. I cried in relief and in joy. I think I have found the one. The same tingle I had when I sat on the cliff in my thinking chair looking at the wonders of a tree sculptured bulldog, I felt as I sat in my mobile office chair looking at the wonders of a publishing dog.

I know I am talking in riddles but please trust me on this one. The bulldog has spoken and I don’t want to jinx it!

I’m off to talk to a man about a dog ….

  1. I am now officially on the edge of my seat. And if the dog isn't the go, remind me to tell you about a goose.
