Day 401

Gold is the new black.  None of this silver rubbish.  GOLD.

Well, if you want to get technical gold isn't actually the new black - specifically Sally Hansen's 310 "Gilty Pleasure" (her spelling not mine) is the new gun-metal grey.

I've been wearing black/dark grey on my toe and finger nails all winter long but decided that now my thongs were finally out (and by thongs I mean flip flops ... not my g-string as per yesterday's post) it was time to go with something a little more "uplifting".  So as I perused the shelves I came across a goldish colour and jumped on it. How fabulous to have golden digits!!  Well, I think so.  Even with this crazy phase of wearing silver, I think Gilty Pleasure will complement my silver bling bling beautifully.  Besides, the bottle said "complete salon manicure" and the sign said "all 5 steps of a manicure in one bottle" - base coat, strengthener, growth treatment, colour, top coat - so it was a doubly good buy.

So I went home and painted my toe nails.  My toes may be pudgy little monsters, but they are definitely ahead of their time in the fashion stakes. My finger nails are yet to catch up.  They aren't quite as brave and prefer the little black dress for now.  Besides, my next nail appointment is still two weeks away.  But they will conform.  They'll be so jealous of my toes by then that they'll dive right into this guilty pleasure phenomenon.

  1. Oh what a lovely colour!
I admit I get bored to easy so I get basic french on my finger nails and do the crazy bright on my ties. At the moment I have purple with rainbow foiling.
