Day 837

I love my pile of cuddles.

Yesterday my daughter de-primary-schooled her bedroom and created a year 7 haven.  Gone are all her soft toys, pre-teen books, and any sign of kidnom.  The only thing left that shows she is my baby is her "Princess" pillow.  Today we go out and buy her new book ends (to replace the Barbie ones) and get some hooks to hang up the pin board full of affirmations, photos and magazine cuttings.

Yesterday my son set up his new Christmas X Box in his bedroom with the new TV he got for his birthday.  He spent a very long time down there emerging occasionally to tell us about his game and coax us down for a look.  We sit on the bed and watch. Sometimes Daddy has a go at playing. I don't. It makes me dizzy.

Yesterday I was able to have the family room all to myself.  It was bliss!!! In between meetings I had a cuppa, turned on the TV and curled up on the couch. But at about 7.30pm I got lonely and recalled my family.  I love that they love their bedrooms, but I also love that they love to be together as a unit.

We will never replace evening couch time.  That's when we all sit together in a pile and cuddle.

I love my freedom and time alone, but I also love my pile of cuddles.

Don't forget that it's give-away time.  I can't necessarily give you my pile of cuddles (although I would totally hug you face-to-face) but I can give you a pile of bounce for your hair.  All you need to do is say "hello" to me in a different language via comment, email or text and you're in the draw for a pack of Herbal Essences Body Envy shampoo and conditioner. Come on over and check it out ...
