Day 853

Forget butterflies in the tummy .... we've got bees!

Booooo hoooooo hoooooooo.

Yayyyyyyyyyy.

Booooo hoooooo hoooooooo.

Booooo hoooooo hoooooooo.

Yayyyyyyyyyy.

I am alternating between both mindsets today as my first born gets ready for her first day of high school, and my baby heads into year 3.

I have a kid in high school!?!?!

My baby is no longer a baby!?!?!

Tahlia had trouble falling asleep last night because (in her own words) she had bees in her stomach.  Yep, forget butterflies, they were buzzing bees. In fact, at one point she decided they may actually be turning into wasps.  She's not freaking out or anything ... she is all smiles and excitement about year 7 ... she's just nervous. She's got bees ...

Darby is reasonably nonchalant which is a HUGE break through.  Usually at the start of any school term he is throwing mini tantrums about having to return to school, and with a new teacher and different bunch of kids in his class this year he would normally be freaking out and having anxiety attacks.  I would expect that today he'd have killer bees in his stomach.  But he appears to be accepting of it all.  No bees .... at this stage.

I have some bees.   Just a few to keep me alert to the milestones this day brings.

It's all very exciting!!
