Day 905

So pleased to have that smart, witty and motivational stuff out of the way.  It was a great two days and a great experience. I can now put on my resume that I have chaired a conference, was an "expert" speaker and been a member of an expert panel. That's kinda cool. And I  met so many lovely people in the process.  After sitting up the front and looking at people's faces all day for two days I really feel as though I know each person intimately and the weird thing is it's like I've known them forever!

Something this experience has taught me - there is nothing like being turfed out of your comfort zone and thrown in the deep end to make you swim.  It can turn you into a swimming champion!  Glad there were no sharks ....

And today is a new day with some new sink or swim experiences to partake in.

Today I pack my bag and head to the Digital Parents 2012 Blogger Conference where I will meet so many of the people I hang out with here on the blogosphere.  I have lined up to meet Madmother at Melbourne airport (we have met face-to-face before) and then I get to meet the lovely Jen (previously from Jemikaan fame) for the very first time.  I can't wait!! The good news about this conference is that I am just a participant ... with no formal duties ... which is good news because I am absolutely cactus.  I am dead on my feet. I am absolutely buggered. Shagged even. Rooted.  Stuffed.  Shot.

The family didn't get a lot of sleep last night.  We are all a bit worried.  Our beautiful blonde canine, Max-the-hip-gyrating-Lab, was up and down all night poo'ing blood.  He's been unsettled for two days and appeared to be having bowel issues, but last night we were awoken by Tahlia who had found evidence in her bathroom of his problems.  HUGE evidence.  I shall not go into details given you may be having a cuppa and eating a special treat as you read this. But it wasn't pleasant. And it looked painful. After a massive clean up I sat up with him from 2.00am to make sure he was comfortable. He's not in huge distress, but he is obviously not well.  So it's off to the vet upon opening this morning...

And that's where I shall leave you.  I need to pack, go to the vet, do some work and get some bits and bobs sorted for Husband's birthday tomorrow (including making him some lovely cupcakes to take tot he office) and then I'll be off to the airport to BlogCon land!

Madmother - if I don't get off the plane you'd better send someone in to search under my seat. I may have crawled under there for a kip ....
