Day 1012 - The Crowded Bed

There were four in the bed ...

From Children's Story - The Crowded Bed***

The kids started out sleeping in their newly renovated indoor cubby last night* but by 1.30am were both in with us because of the electrical storm that hit Canberra, which made for a very crowded bed.

I honestly thought Canberra was being bombed to begin with the thunder was so aggressive. After a couple of hours of our window shattering storm we finally got back to sleep in the tetris puzzle that was our bed.

I may have been better off swapping places with them and crawling into the cubby instead.  I don't think my body would have been any worse off. I've woken up today with aches and pains and a  headache because of the balancing act that had me teetering on the edge of the bed.  Do they make beds bigger than king size?

*I actually couldn't cope with the lean-to taking up my entire lounge room and blocking the TV in the end. By mid afternoon I strongly suggested it be moved to the dining room (mainly so I could watch Bold**). Besides, the dining table was a much more stable frame, wasn't it?

** Yes, I am a closet Bold and the Beautiful fan.

  1. Wow, you must have got all the storm out your way. We had one massive clap of thunder and one flicker if lightening only. But loud and bright enough to scare the bejesus out of the cat!

  2. Our storm may actually have only gone for ten minutes but it felt like hours. I was dozing in and out. It was loud!! I thought we were being attacked ...
