Day 1041 - Lady Gaga Vogue

Lady Gaga on the edge of glory.

Can you imagine being chosen as the cover girl for Vogue magazine's 120th anniversary edition?! Lady Gaga can.  This is the second time Gaga has landed the cover of the world's ultimate fashion mag and isn't she doing an amazing job!  Apparently this copy of the mag is the biggest issue yet weighing in at 2kg.  It can't be Gaga that's making it so heavy ... coz once inside all she's wearing is ostrich feathers.

I adore Gaga.  I love her strength, determination, talent and drive. But most of all I love that she turns challenges into opportunities to make a difference not just in her own world, but for others.  The work she is doing with the Born This Way Foundation is right up my alley. I logged onto watch the BTWF launch live a few months ago and her mission brought tears to my eyes.  Her dream is to empower youth,  inspire bravery and celebrate individuality (and get rid of bullying once and for all).  Which is very similar to my dream ... only she has a much bigger platform in which to create her legacy.  So of course I have jumped on board.  I regularly get Emails from Gaga's mum, Cynthia Germanotta, who is the President and Co-Founder of the Foundation, keeping me up to date with developments. While I am not in the forefront of the Foundation, nor actively involved in its direct work, I am inspired by it to continue on my own path of helping children to believe in their own power.

So on this Saturday I would like to congratulate Lady Gaga on her fabulous Vogue cover (and photo shoot) and encourage you to subscribe to  BTWF.  Lots of people taking tiny steps can create giant results.  Lady Gaga is a case in point!

Happy Saturday.

  1. She certainly is one of a kind. That full body shot looks very Alice in Wonderland with the itty bitty waist!
