Day 1111 - It's in the Stars

I'm ready for a fresh beginning

My horoscope according to OK Magazine

I wouldn't normally chat about my horoscope but after finding this in OK Magazine I thought it worth mentioning.

"You have everything going for you this week, so make the most of it. Organising a get-together with friends will prove beneficial, as all work and no play makes a very dull you!* You should also take a long, hard look at your life and what needs changing about it. By clearing out the clutter**, you'll make way for exciting new things to enter. This week's mantra: I'm ready for a fresh beginning."

* My friend Michaela came to visit from Brisbane this week and it was refreshing and fun.  As we sat on the lounge drinking champagne and watching "Pretty in Pink", and then sitting at the park the next day with the kids, I thought to myself "there needs to be more of this..." It seems my stars agree.

** Clearly this horoscope was written especially for me given the week of de-cluttering I have had.

Every Saturday I like to celebrate the week that was and through gratitude recognise the wins no matter how big or small.

This week I am grateful for:

  • forever friends who go the distance in miles and in time,
  • blue skies and spring weather which gives me back my bounce,
  • morning tea with other Deep Fried fruit and talking about chin hair, floppy bits and bodily functions so I feel less like an aging freak and more like a member of a very special club
  • being able to pre-vote in the ACT election so that I don't have to line up with the masses today (I am coaching cheerleding all day given Nationals is next weekend)
  • cambenbert cheese to put on turkey and cranberry sandwiches
  • trashy mags to read in the bath of a Friday night
  • hayfever prevention pills to keep my sinus' settled
  • post-it notes for reminding me to put the washing on the line and then to take it off again
  • that tub of toddler toys I kept "just in case" for when my friends visit with their very energetic kidlets
For more Saturday grateful head on over to Kidspot's Village Voices where Maxabella reminds us all about the joys of living in the attitude of gratitude.

Oh yeah, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY Dannii Minogue! Welcome to 40 - it is indeed a very special club.

  1. I love a fresh new beginning. And being a Libra, I'm going to make this my self-fulfilling prophecy!

Lovely to see your blog. It's had a bit of a bloglift since I last visited. You're looking as gorgeous as always! xx
