Day 1250 - Little Jack's Message

Even little people can achieve big things.

After reading my emotional blog post of Tuesday a "long lost" friend rang me to encourage and support me. It was a beautiful call and so wonderful to hear her words.  Particularly since the call came from "left field".

Today as I was cruising the news feeds I came across this story where a little Aussie boy posted this video for a UK boy who he had never met, to encourage him forward in his journey to get a new kidney.  Sending a stranger words of support and hope as he battled for his life. They posted the video on the family's Facebook page.  Of course it was very well received and just hearing one little boys story of survival has given a little ray of hope as another little boy goes on a similar journey.

It doesn't take much to reach out to someone who is going through challenging times.  A text, a phone call, a Facebook message, a comment or a video.  They all show love, care and support.  They give hope.

Well done to little five year old Jack for being such a big hearted boy.  You can read about his story here. Be sure to click play on the video above.  And have a tissue  handy ...  Oh, and go in and "like" Matthew's Facebook Page in the quest to find him a new kidney just like Jack's.  They're hoping the Facebook campaign may help them find a donor as he currently has no kidneys and spends 12 hours a day on dialysis.  That is no life for a seven year old.

Thank you to everyone who has emailed, texted, phoned, Facebooked and commented regarding my publishing challenge. When it all comes down to it, it is only money. I can start again. Definitely not a smidge compared to what these little boys are going through. Little people sure can achieve very big things...
