Day 1453 - Holidays

Do you like to plan your holiday or fly by the seat of your pants?

I'm a planner. Always been a planner. Our holidays used to be structured. They had a purpose and that purpose had a process. I plan my work day to the nearest 5 minutes. On weekends if there is a juggling act, then that needs to be planned too. But then there are times ... when there is no work, no juggling, and no act ... I find I just want to fly by the seat of my pants.  I don't want to be scheduled. I don't want planning. I don't want process. Which is kind of how I view holidays now that I'm Deep Fried.  When it is holiday time I am happy to throw the family in a car or get on a plane and see what happens on arrival.  That's my perfect holiday.  Floating on the breeze just to see where the wind takes us.

What about you?  Do you like to plan your holiday or fly by the seat of your pants?

Speaking of holidays - every school holidays needs a new DVD to be added to the collection. How about the SOON TO BE RELEASED digitally remastered Jungle Book?  Did you know it was the last movie to actually be produced by Mr Walt Disney himself? Well it is ... and you could win a copy!

WIN WIN WIN

Disney is partnering yet again with Deep Fried Fruit to give away THREE Jungle Book DVDs to our lucky readers.  Yep. Not one, not two, but THREE chances to win!

All you've got to do is answer this question: "who wants to win?"  It's just a simple two stroke answer on the keyboard: "ME"

PLEASE be sure to give me enough details to track you down.  If I can't find you, or if winners don't get back to me within five days of the draw, I will have to have a redraw. The competition is open to Aussie residents only and closes Tuesday 01 October at midnight. You can enter via comment here on the blog, Deep Fried FacebookDeep Fried Twitter #DFFJungleBook, email or text.

  1. I'm a planner. I can't help it. I don't have a daily holiday plan before I leave, but I do like to organise stuff while I'm there.
I'm with a decided non-planner, so we need to balance so no one feels anxious (me) or micro managed (him). Fluffy cocktails by the pool chill me out somewhat!

  2. Me,me,me! Re holidays - I like to have a flexible plan in place so we kind of know what we're doing but with room to make changes.

  4. My son is here saying 'Pick Me, Pick Me' :).
We are going on a campervan trip in NZ in a couple of weeks and I SOOO have to plan this trip. My parents in law did a similar trip and just rocked up to particular caravan parks without booking, I so could not do this. I'd be constantly thinking 'what if we can't get in?' I have all locations booked and planned, just have to work out our stops in between. I'm all about using our limited time wisely to see as much as possible. Doesn't sound relaxing does it?

  13. I'm a planner but I love the idea of just letting go and doing what we feel when we feel led to. Right now, I would take anything. I would pack up and go on holidays this minute if I could, plan-less and all!
