Day 1521 - Club Penguin give-away

Looking for a kids Christmas gift that's just a little bit different?

My kids "grew up" on Club Penguin.  It was their first foray into on-line games and on-line social interaction.  We loved it because (a) it was Disney which gave us confidence and (b) it allowed the kids to interact with other children from their school, and around the world, in a safe virtual environment.  Even the need for paid membership didn't deter us with both our children signing up for a couple of years each to enjoy the interactive games, adopt virtual pets, dress and individualise their penguins, chat with friends, decorate igloos and even train to become a secret agent!

It turns out you can now buy Club Penguin Membership Cards from places like Big W, Target, EB Games, JB HiFI, Coles, Woolworths, Australia Post, Toys R Us and even at the good old 7-Eleven!  It makes for a great stocking filler for your own kids or an awesome gift for a niece or nephew.

Now that Club Penguin is fully immersed in Disney, they have started to incorporate other Disney elements to the site.  For example, every month on Club Penguin Island there is a different themed party where members can collect exclusive items and join in new exciting games.  This year players have taken part in Disney Pixar "Monsters University" takeover party, a Star Wars party, a Teen Beach Movie Summer Jam Party and a Marvel themed party (just to name a few).  There's a stack more being developed for 2014 which is sure to keep the kids engaged and entertained.

Club Penguin is designed for 6-12 year olds (my kids had the most involvement from the ages of 6-8). We felt it was safe because Disney uses highly advanced safety practices to make sure online playtime is fun for kids and provides peace of mind for the parents.

WIN WIN WIN

What does the penguin say?

Disney would LOVE to give your kids some extra fun this Christmas by giving you the chance to WIN one of FIVE Club Penguin 2500 Coin Cards (RRP $17.95) which allows the kids to unlock items on the site to dress up their penguins and decorate their igloos.  Super cool.  To enter all you have to do is tell me (in your best "what does the Fox say" singing voice) what sound does a penguin make?  And if you have no idea, then simply say "yes please" and you're entered.  You choose .... singing to win ... or simply being polite.  Too easy.

The competition is open to Aussies and you can enter via blog comment, Deep Fried Facebook, Deep Fried Twitter #DFFPenguin, email or text.  Competition closes midnight next Tuesday 10 December and winners will be announced the following day.  Please be sure to leave enough details so I can track you down - if winners don't respond within a few days I will do a redraw.
