Day 1569 - New Kikki.K Stationery

Does anyone else get super excited about new stationery?

Loving my Kikki.K
Ever since I can remember, I've loved getting new pens, note books, paper and letter writing kits. As a kid I remember the pride I would have in a new set of coloured pencils or textas.  I would line up the colours in order and carefully sharpen the ends or adjust the lids. At university the best way to study for exams or get my assignments started was to buy a new coloured notepad and snazzy new pen.  Nothing has changed.  This Christmas I treated myself to a trip to Kikki K and bought myself some lovely note paper, a magnetic menu/shopping list for the fridge and this wonderfully colourful, and oh so functional, daily organiser,

You all know I'm a lists girl.  I write lists upon lists and I even have lists coming out of my lists.  I like nothing better than to turn my to-dos into ta-dahs and I have been known to not only tick each item off, but to give it a double-tick just to increase the celebration as each task is completed.

Usually my lists are done in my "ta-dah" book of "action, action, action". Not anymore.  The ta-dah book of action, action, action has been replaced by my new stationery*.

The thing I love about it, is not only does it limit me to only three priorities for the day (I usually scatter my energy by prioritising far too much into 24 hours), it also limits me to 20 to-dos, again making me slow down and smell the roses ta-dahs for just a moment longer than usual.  The best part about it is I am encouraged to give myself a treat every day (yesterday I had a break for an hour while I ate lunch in front of Ellen), plus I have a bubble of "don't forgets" which I've been using to gently nudge myself back into exercise.  You see, if I write it down as a to-do, I can't ignore it. I'm too anal! If it's on the list, it's gotta be done.  Oh, and the water intake section is doing wonders for my ... well ... water intake.

So anyway, I'm super excited about this new stationery.  Kikki.K is my new best friend.

Does anyone else get super excited about new stationery?

*Not replaced entirely.  I couldn't bare to part with my ta-dah book of action, action, action altogether.  I now glue my finished Kikki.K sheets into it to continue my historical log of ta-dahs.

  6. Oh, I love love love stationery! Kikki K is a particular favourite, but I love finding those little handmade gems at markets that you don't see everywhere. I'm not much of a clothes shopper but I spend way too much on pretty stationery.

  9. Love stationery. Way prefer shopping for that than clothes or anything else. I'm a sucker for trying to make my own printables too. Probably a big waste of time but love playing with fonts and stamps and text boxes.

  10. I wish I did, but not because it usually means a lot of work! I do all my work on computer, I'm a WAY faster typer than writer and get a tired arm so easily - yes I'm a stick in the mud I know! x

  13. The pile of unused but awesome notebooks that are in my bookshelf says yes I am a little bit in love with stationary. I have to restrain myself from going into Typo because I could break the bank with the great stuff they have at affordable prices!
