Day 1714 - Shopping in Vegas

I just can't go to the USA without doing some serious shopping ...

Macy's one day only shoe clearance
Original price $59 - I got them for $24
I know what is cheaper in the USA and I "save up" to ensure I get the best bang for my buck while I'm over there.  This trip is no different.  Make-up, shoes and leather are the name of the game this time.  My go to shops are Macy's (for Estee Lauder make-up), Forever 21 (for Tahlia), Nike (for Derek and Darby), CVS for perfumes and exgtra make-up supplies, and the outlets just to make sure we're not missing out on anything fabulous.  You know ... the stuff you didn't even know you "needed".

My Estee Lauder "Futurist" foundation is around $70-$80 back home, but I can get it in the USA for $40 a bottle.  This shopping trip had the added bonus of an Estee Lauder gift for anything over $35.

My BRAND NEW white leather jacket that I didn't even know I "needed" until I saw it on sale at Wilson's Leather store at the Las Vegas Premium Outlets (South).  Original price $200 - sale price only $40. Weeeee!!!!

Black Rivet leather jacket from the Wilson's Leather Clearance store - only $40!

Derek hasn't missed out in all this.  He also got himself an amazing leather jacket - Guess - discounted from $300 to $65.00 (also from Wilson's Leather).

Guess leather jacket with removal "hoodie" from Wilson's Leather - only $65.00

Derek also picked himself up some new black leather "slip on" work shoes from Bass discounted from $125 to just $50.00.

Bass men's shoes - $50

And the final bargain for today was Derek's much anticipated (and much needed) basketball boots. His new sneakers cost $70 from the Nike Outlet and would have cost around $150 or more back home.

So there you have it. That's the Deep Fried shopping bargains for this trip.  Don't think of how much we spent, but how much we saved! Seriously - we saved well over $600! Wahoooo!!!

Gotta love shopping in the USA.

If you're going to Vegas be sure to check out the outlets.  You can go to the North outlets (outdoors) or the South outlets (indoors).  We personally choose the South Premium Outlets because it is airconditioned and we're told it is slightly cheaper.  You can get there via town bus for around $8 per person return, or you can catch a taxi which can cost anywhere between $15 and $25 each way depending on where you are staying on the strip.

Kids, if you're reading this - don't worry, you haven't missed out. We didn't forget about you. We're just keeping your purchases a surprise.
