Day 1762 - Below freezing

Who else has decided to hibernate?

Check out the temp in Canberra. 

Waking up to below zero temps is a pretty good reason to hibernate, don't you think?  I am a morning person and I normally jump out of bed with excitement and enthusiasm.  But even I'm finding my inner bear is taking over on these cold mornings.  My body feels heavy, sluggish, pained and unresponsive. 

Unfortunately though the rest of the world doesn't stop just because the warmth does, so we've got to find a way to pull through.  

My tips: 
  • set the heater to come on an hour before your alarm goes off; 
  • get your warm winter clothes ready the night before; 
  • make sure your alarm is set and the clock is on the other side of the room;
  • shower the moment you get out of bed to wake you up; 
  • step outside for ten deep invigorating (if not frozen) breaths of fresh air; 
  • stretch like an animal would to loosen the muscles and get the blood circulating
  • drink warm tea with a squeeze of lemon
  • smile 
Stay warm today peeps! Believe it or not it's going to be a beautiful blue sky day.
