Day 1784 - Positive Energy Activator

Start each day in a positive way

Ever heard of a Positive Energy Activator?

It's when you do something positive for someone else right at the start of the day which not only turns on your own "happiness chemicals" but creates a positive energy flow.

It could be a random act of kindness for a stranger which has an everlasting impact.

Or it might be as simple as putting a smiley face Post-It note in your child's lunch box, which makes them happy when they open their lunch box at school, and their happiness infects the people around them for a flow on effect.

Or it could be complimenting someone at work on their beautiful dress, which makes them feel good about themselves which in turn makes them more likely to show happiness and appreciation towards others.

It's a great way to create the tone for your day. It makes you smile which is all part of this aging positively stuff.

Have you got any "positive energy activator" suggestions?

  1. Not heard it called those words, but I do know you feel good when you bring a big smile to someone's face...often you don't realise how much they needed to hear your offhand compliment...

  2. What a great idea! I know compliments, especially unexpected ones, often uplift my mood for the rest of the day. I'm going to make an effort to regularly pass on more positive energy to others around me.

  3. I think just smiling and being courteous to someone can release positive vibes in one's life. Compliments are always good mood boosters for others too.

  4. I agree - how we start the day makes such a difference. Always appreciate hubby bringing in my cup of coffee as I do my morning check on my computer, leaving him in peace on his recliner (depending on whether the kids are up yet). I certainly don't do it every day but I love making a fuss of breakfast - it does feel like it warms the day.

  5. I have a thing that I do once a month. I write a email to a boss/manger of a company or service that I use to let them know what a great job one of their employees is doing. I think credit today is little and far between.

  6. Yes, I've heard of this! As much as I hear people say they hate them, this is why I think it's really good to share positive and inspirational messages on social media in the mornings because once you read something like that at the beginning of the day, you have something to think back to when you need it and when the day gets a bit tough.

  7. I can definitely see how doing something positive at the beginning of your day will help you to have a better day. I know that if I get woken abruptly I feel off kilter for the rest of the day, but the days that I am able to wake and then allow myself a bit of time to adjust then I have a better day.

  9. I love this. My husband has packed a little love note in with my cheese and crackers for lunch a few times and it brings a massive smile to my face :)

  10. If I can not get cranky at the kids and reward their good behaviour instead of yelling in the morning this sets me up for a good day! x
