Day 1945 - Green Tea and citrus

I'm still hooked on green tea.

Green tea and citrus  ... and Cheer Chick Charlie and Jennifer Aniston
After our walk this morning my gorgeous teenage daughter brought me a green tea with a squeeze of lemon.  She's a clever chick that one.  Just like Jennier Aniston (see magazine snippet in photo above) I am hooked on green tea because of its wondrous properties.  I used to suffer fluid retention, but haven't for five years now since I started having a cup of green tea every morning.  It's also got loads of great antioxidants and helps with weight loss. Add a squirt of lemon or lime to stabilise its catechin content and you boost the antioxidants by up to 13 times!  It's a great way to age positively.

Anyone else a greenie?

  1. I should really try some green tea. I'm a coffee girl and assume I won't like green tea but I should give it a go - right? I could do with the health benefits and assistance in losing some weight! Is there a particular brand you recommend?

  2. Hi Min. I started drinking the green tea and vanilla combination to start with, then went to green tea and jasmine because the plain green tea was just too ick to start off with. Now I drink it plain or with lovely flavours. I drink everything from Tea for Two, Adore Tea (Canberra tea shop) and even homebrand green tea bags.

  6. That is an awesome tip with the lemon. I've just gotten onto green tea and I absolutely love it. I had no idea it aids in weight loss. Brilliant. #teamIBOT

  7. I love green tea, I've been drinking it for years. My brother recently gave me some rose green tea - needless to say it smells and tastes divine!

  8. I've tried to like tea but it's just not for me. I have tried all different kinds of flavours and none really sit well with me. I can just stomach the Lipton Iced Tea but I fear that is because there is a ton of sugar in it!
