Day 2038 - Kiss more!

There's a lot of power in a kiss.

Besides the obvious show of love and affection and the boost it gives to a person's spirit, the humble kiss can actually be good for your health as well.

According to a Dutch study, kissing someone for just 10 seconds transfers 10 million bacteria; and they say that's good for you!

Alison Morris, MD, associate professor of medicine and immunology at the University of Pittsburgh says "Not all bacteria are pathogens.  Most are beneficial. They protect against cavities and help shape the immune system."

Proving that there is a lot of power in a kiss!

  2. What about kissing yourself in the mirror? No germ transfer! Bingo!

    1. Have you seen my mirror? Would definitely be germ transfer there ... what is it with kids and flicking their toothpaste all over the bathroom mirror?

  3. Hmmm... single and childless so I don't get many kisses. Though I see my mum regularly and my friend's little 3 year old gives me a kiss or ten when saying hello and goodbye.

    1. 3 year old kisses would be the best medicinal kisses around I reckon.

  4. I was just telling a friend about how hubby and I had a cheeky pash in the kitchen the other day. It was nice as it doesn't happen often. :)

  5. Yay for kissing!
Though I'm going to clarify, that's yay for kissing my husband only. I don't mind his germs ;)
