Day 2103 - The week in review

There's lots to be grateful for this week.

First and foremost I got the postcards, cover and wristbands finalised for Book Seven of the Cheer Chick Charlie series.  I am so happy with the result. All I need to do now is do the FINAL read of the proof and hit "print" in time for the release in two week's time.

Secondly I got home from the Gold Coast with over 200 book sales and almost 40 pre-orders for book seven under my belt.  I sold out of the books that I took with me so I had to come home and the Husb and I packaged up the remainders and sent them out on Wednesday.

Thirdly I got to hang out on the edges of a the Kanga Cup to watch my boy play soccer with his Division One team for the last time.  He's been selected to move up into his club's Development Squad for the remainder of the season which is super exciting for him.

I have also spent some fun time with my girl this week as she starts to build her portfolio as an Australian promotor for the Style Moi international online store.  We've found some great walls around our area in which to photograph against and it's heaps of fun to play photographer while she does her normal model thing.

I headed off to a book launch on Thursday night for a local Canberra author Matt Fenwick.  Matt has written the book "Life Without Lanyards" to help Public Servants transition from their Government jobs to business owners. It was great to network with other small business owners, authors and people ready to take the leap.

Finally, we took the time as a family to hit the cinemas for Jurassic World and then the food court afterwards.  We always say it, but we really should do that more often.  It's a great way to spend a winter's day.

As for this weekend ... well ... we're catching up with friends tonight for dinner at the club, plus I've organised a play date for the boy. The rest of the time will be spent pottering and laying about on the couch under a doona!

Hell yeah.

There's a lot to celebrate.

There's a lot to be grateful for.
