Day 2133 - Sally Hansen #ManiMatch

Here's a fun way to try before you buy ...

Ever bought a nail polish you thought you'd love, but when it's on you're nails you're like "meh"?

Yeah, me too.  Sometimes colours just look so yummy in the bottle but then lose their appeal on Deep Fried hands.

Well, Sally Hansen has come up with a fab way to try-before-you-buy.

The ManiMatch app.

Apparently the app will be available for both Apple and Android users any day now and will let us try on 200 Sally Hansen shades.

I hear we'll also be able to preview nail art designs from Madeline Poole (Sally Hansen's Global Ambassador).

The app will not only let you try stuff on, but it will also suggest colour options for your skin tone.

The app will scan your hand and create 3-D rendering with your specific skin tone.  Plus you can scan the bottle's bar code in store to try it on.  How fancy!

I love Sally Hansen nail polish.  My nail technician (aka the lovely lady that does my acrylics) doesn't love the brushes because they're a different shape than a standard nail polish brush, but I personally love the texture, colours, wear and overall "vibe" of Sally Hansen. Which is why I like to stock up when I head to the US (it's cheaper over there).

Anyway, I am totally looking forward to this cool new app.

Thanks Sally!

  1. This looks awesome! I am a huge fan of Sally too - my current favourite is the Miracle Gel. I love the idea of a virtual try before you buy because sometimes the colour on the nail looks so different from the colour in the bottle. Thanks for the heads up!

    1. She's awesome! Yep, it's definitely a great idea. Especially when in store trying to choose from all those lovely colours.
