Day 2355 - The Lovin' Life Linky - Happy Easter

For the love of chocolate ...

On Friday I opened up a discussion on "what does Easter mean to you".  It turns out that the Easter long weekend means different things to different people.

I think one thing most people had in common was the chocolate.  Wouldn't it be wonderful if chocolate really was that one thing that brought the world together?

For me this year Easter is about family, reflection, relaxation, gratitude, the coast, a feast and ... you guessed it ... chocolate.

After a week of battling the damn fibromyalgia curse I'm happy to have an excuse to just go splat. Whether splat be on the beach, on the couch or in bed.

We drove to find the sun yesterday and ended up in Mollymook.
A wonderful spot to go splat.

Splat might consist of sleeping, or splat might just be reading magazines, doing crossword puzzles or playing board games with the kids.

I must confess I did not play Monopoly - Nanny played with the kids.
The game is far too long for my Deep Fried brain. I did play some other games though. Shorter ones ... better for my current attention span.

When couch time meets magazine time.
Splat also means I don't have to cook because my trusty mum is here doing all that Betty Homemaker stuff.

Good Friday meal of salmon roulade, salad and hot-cross buns.

I'm also happy to be going for walks to stretch the body and breathe in sea air.

Thank goodness for energetic kids who force me off the couch to go for late afternoon strolls and early morning hikes.

Today above all else I'm happy to be having a dose of chocolate! Because chocolate cures everything doesn't it? Except for migraine ... it kinda causes migraine ... we'll complain about that tomorrow ...

The Easter Bunny's been!

Happy Easter everyone!

What are you lovin' about life this week?

If you're a blogger then feel free to link up a post that reflects what you're lovin' about life.  It could be a moment, a picture, a conversation, some food, a product, a dress, a hobby, an event, a place, a memory or a person - it's all about reminding ourselves what's good in our world.

All bloggers are welcome! Fashion, food, beauty, business, personal, parenting ... whatever ...

If you're not a blogger then feel free to use the #lovinlifelinky hashtag to tag instagram photos or tweets about the things that are making you smile.  You can also click on some of the Lovin' Life links below and see what else is in the blogosphere.  You might be able to add a few sites to your reading list! 4. It usually means a lot of much needed downtime for our family but hubby left for sea first thing this morning, so we've had two days of packing and getting everything in order for while he is away. We also had an impromptu date night which resulted in the car breaking down and riding in a tow truck. It's never a dull moment around here. Oh and as you probably already know the viral post has me rather busy and distracted.

    1. Nooooo! Don't get a migraine. I stopped eating it after breakfast (I ate tonnes for breakfast). I'm hoping I may have just stopped in time.

  6. I added an old post which I hope is ok. It was definitely from a time in which I 'loved life' and still remember fibromyalgia today.

My day today was more in line with the 'splat' of yours! I've had a heap of offline and non-desk time!

  8. I was so happy to find out the easter bunny still sky dives. The last time I went to the festival I think it was quietly canceled and no announcements were made. This year it was better organised and I got the best seat ever for photos!

    1. They are great photos. I am happy to hear that bunnies sky dive too. Everybody should jump out of a plane at least once in their life. Even rabbits!
