Day 2379 - Family things to do in Singapore - Adventure Cove Waterpark

The only way to truly beat the heat ... take a dip!

Thank goodness the tour scheduled a visit to the Adventure Cove Waterpark.  Given this is apparently the hottest weather Singapore has had in five years (thanks for the warm welcome Singapore) the water park was a very welcome relief.

Now, it takes a lot for me to get in the water and even I was riding all the slides and taking a leisurely meander around Adventure River.

The Adventure Cove Waterpark is situation at Sentosa which is kind of like the resort area of Singapore.

The park has around five or six water slides, as well as a water maze, obstacle course, floating "river", aquarium and wave pool as well as other activities such as swimming with the dolphins, walking among the rays, snorkeling and swimming with the sharks.  The attractions are designed for most age groups although adults obviously have to be very hands on with the younger kids.

It's nowhere near as big as say, Wet n Wild, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in layout and general aesthetics. As with everything in Singapore it's well laid out, it's clean and they pay attention to detail.

For example, as you float around Adventure River there are speakers that give you lovely tropical sounds, then when things get a little more exciting (eg riding through waterfalls) there is pop music to get things festive.  As a bonus you end up floating through an aquarium with fish and rays to ogle at as you float by which is very cool.

All the tubes for the river and the water slides are in near perfect condition and the water is pristine.

There are quite a few food options at Adventure Cove which is good because you are not allowed to take your own food into the park (bags are checked on arrival).  If you do happen to have packed an esky and don't want to dump your food, you can hire a locker just outside the park to store your lunch until you leave.

They have a very handy locker room inside the park as well to store your valuables. For $10 a visit the lockers were big enough to store my handbag and another family's wallets and phones etc very comfortably.

There are also showers and a very neat and tidy change room to get you dried off and all spruced up again before you leave.

Oh, and there's some cool places for the parents to hang out and read a book if water slides are not your thing.

Adventure Cove Waterpark is open most days from 10.00am to 6.00pm and is situated within Resorts World, Sentosa, Singapore.  The cost of a ticket is around $35 per person (varies).

Note: The park will be closed for upgrade from mid September to mid October.

Adventure Cove Waterpark is another great family attraction to visit while in Singapore.
