Day 2427 - Disney Australia's Dream Big, Princess Campaign

Hello Princess!

Yes, I'm talking to you.

You see, a princess is someone who is unique, strong and inspiring.  Someone who dreams big and encourages others to do likewise.

A princess is someone like you and me.

In the early years the Disney princesses were a little bit "droopy" in my eyes.  A tad too reliant on a big manly dude to come and sweep them off their feet.

Disney heard the pleas for princesses to be more proactive and empowered and has created a bunch of relatable females for our young girls to look up to.

Disney Australia has gone one step further and found three Aussie women with unforgettable stories to kick off their Dream Big, Princess campaign to motivate and encourage children to dream big.

Now you know me.  I'm big into helping people's dreams come true.  I've written an entire children's book series about it, I  have a coaching business based on it and I blog about it right  here on a regular basis.

So this Dream Big, Princess campaign is right up my alley!

Former mining engineer, marathon runner and burn survivor Turia Pitt joins award-winning Indigenous actress Miranda Tapsell and author, founder and editor-in-chief of Collective Hub magazine, Lisa Messenger, as they share their stories of achievement to inspire parents and their children to Dream Big.

Disney Australia enlisted the talents and creativity of a small group of Victorian College of the Arts film school graduates to help create three unique stories, with he group filming and editing a 90 second campaign video, which features Turia, Mirands and Lisa, launched across Disney's Australian and New Zealand social media channels on 20 May.

Disney Australia is encouraging Facebook followers to share how they have dreamed big using #IDareToDreamBig to inspire a community of parents to focus on empowering their children to understand that anything is possible.

Again, this is extremely close to  my heart.  Cheer Chick Charlie is based on the "Anything is Possible" tagline and it's how I encourage my own kids forward in life.  Their dreams matter.  They are important.  Their strengths add value to this world and it's up to us to encourage them forward and lead by example.

Disney Australia has created a "Dream Big Kit" designed to inspire little dreamers to set, track and achieve their dreams by recognising the strength, determination and inspiration within, quite like the qualities of a Disney Princess.  The kit includes fun activities including a step-by-step guide on how to create a vision board and much more.  You can download that here.

To keep up to date with Disney's Dream Big, Princess campaign you can follow their social media and get involved in the conversation.  Head to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and You Tube.

Hello Princess!

Do you dare to dream big?

I know I do!

Thanks Disney for encouraging us all to be the inspiring, courageous, committed role models I know we can all be.

  3. Unfortunately, this dream is not to be fulfilled and they realize that this relationship between a man and a mermaid is impossible. The drama is intensified when Princess Ariel uses her voice to have Prince Eric remember her. princess bedroom
