Yes, Yes, Yes ... I've been shopping.
If there is one thing I love when in Vegas, it's coming home with a new wardrobe.
As you know I'm the queen of thrift and at home my shopping doesn't usually extend beyond the stores I can find at my local marketplace. But let me loose in a US outlet centre and it becomes less about what I spent, and more about what I've SAVED.
And today, I saved plenty.
Last year we visited the Las Vegas South Premium Outlets, so this year it was time to give the North a go.
I went in with absolutely no thoughts as to what to buy, just that I was going to keep my mind open to the possibilities.
I came home with two dresses, three pairs of shoes, a small cross-over handbag, a new leather jacket and some gifts for the fam.
The hubster got himself some sporty leisure gear (because, you know, he's sporty and all).
The North Premium Outlets ones are located outdoors with shops like Adidas, Armani, Banana Republic, Bebe, Calvin Klein, Clarins, Crocs, Elizabeth Arden, Gap, Guess, Jockey, Kate Spade, Levi's, Nine West, Ralph Lauren, Reebok, Skechers, Tommy Hilfiger, Van Heusen, Wilson Leather. Burberry and so much more.
There are some great bargains. I saved over a hundred dollars AUD on my Nine West shoes alone. Seriously!
The outlet shopping can get very hot in the summer months so they have water misters everywhere to keep you cool.
There is a reasonable food court to ensure you don't starve while you shop.
The Las Vegas North Premium Outlets are at 875 S Grand Central Parkway.
They are open from 9am until 9pm most days.
From the Mirage it cost us around $22 by taxi (15 minutes in heavy traffic) and would have cost around $2 USD each if we'd caught the public bus (apparently a 40 minute trip).
Staff at the outlets were all very pleasant and helpful, and it was lovely to be greeted with "hello" and "welcome" in every single store we entered.
All in all it was a great way to spend the day.
