Day 2452 - The Deck at Regatta Point

A meal with a view ...

As part of my showcasing Canberra series, I give you The Deck at Regatta Point.  This has got to be by far my favourite lunch place in the ACT.

Sitting on the edge of Lake Burley Griffin surrounded by green grass and views of the National Library, Parliament House, Questacon, the Carillon, the National Gallery, the Great Dividing Range and more, it's the perfect spot to absorb the beauty of our nation's capital.

With indoor and outdoor seating options, plenty of parking, affordable meals, great coffee and a peaceful vibe it's a lovely spot to relax, chat and enjoy the company of others.

Sitting outside is gorgeous with fresh air and sunshine.  There are plenty of umbrellas for those days that are just too hot.

Sitting inside is also very picturesque due to the floor to ceiling glass windows that bring the outside in.

I sometimes take clients to The Deck plus I often host my Achieve Beyond Home Business Networking sessions there.

Today's networking session included cake ... it's always better with cake.

It's a great spot for a girls lunch and I hear it's a cool place to hold functions.

Occasionally we'll just pop in as a family to remind ourselves of all our great city has to offer. I recall taking Tahlia there when she was recovering from her surgery two years ago, just to get her out of the house and help her feel human.

The Deck is open from 9.00-5.00 from Monday- Friday and 9.00-4.00 on weekends.  Unfortunately it tends to be closed on public holidays.

The Deck is just off Commonwealth Avenue right near Commonwealth Bridge.  You'll see it easily enough as it's the roundish white building right on Regatta Point near Captain Cook Fountain.
