Day 2474 - The Lovin' Life Linky - The Back Home Edition

Finally, a Sunday at home.

Looking back at my previous Lovin' Life Linky editions I noticed that I've had quite a bit of news to share. Each post had me blogging about a different location, big events and fab travel destinations.

My previous six Lovin' Life posts have come from the hospital, the Gold Coast, the South Coast and Vegas.  Prior to that you've had Aruba and Singapore.

I'm afraid there is absolutely nothing exciting, glamorous, news worthy or exotic about today's post.  However, it is brought to you from in front of an open fire. Does that count?

It's cold in Canberra.  Let's just state the obvious and get that out of the way.

This last week has been a bit different than normal, yet it's also been exactly the same.

It's been different in that I've taken on a few hours a week working in an office environment to help a friend with her property management business.

I wanted to learn something new and I've always had an interest in property management. She needed someone to help out for the rest of the year but didn't necessarily want to go through a recruitment process.  So we put our heads together and realised that one plus one really does equal two.

I get to use my brain by trying out something new, and she gets an extra set of hands to keep the business growing.

I haven't stopped doing my other stuff.

I still have my clients, my blog and Cheer Chick Charlie.  I'm still doing the whole mum thing and the mumager stuff (although Nanny has had to step in this week for a trip to Sydney).  Hell, I'm even coordinating the next Regional Cheerleading Competition being held in a month. Oh, and I'm speaking at a conference this week. It's just that all that stuff is such second nature to me now that I can do it on my ear.  So yeah, I've added another "project" to the mix and I'm lovin' it.

On the blog this week I've chatted about how I avoid Mondayitis, my fave comfort food, my love for my new Samsung Galaxy Phone, the true power of flowers, the need to overhaul my home, and I've even given you the chance to win some really cool stuff for your kids.

Which kind of sums up what I'm lovin' about life right now!
  • I love Mondays
  • I love that I am learning new things
  • I love that I can work with other people and we can share each others energy
  • I love lamb chops and mash
  • I love love LOVE the camera on my Samsung Galaxy
  • I love the power of flowers
  • I love that LEGO and Universal have partnered with me for my current give-away
  • I love my new vision for our house and just hope my husband will sign on to the overhaul
There's always something to love if you really look hard enough.

What are you lovin' this week?

If you haven't entered the LEGO Bionicles competition yet be sure to click here to enter. There are FIVE packs to give away which includes the brand new Bionicles DVD and a Bionicles toy.

  1. Good morning! It's actually under 10 degrees outside on the coast right now. Lucky we have (now) ducted air con. I am glad to read your catch up and whilst it sounds like you will be more than busy I know that's what you prefer. I have been a bit serious today in my post. D xx

  2. Hi Leanne - As you'll read in my post, it was 29 degrees here on the GC yesterday! Like Summer - way too hot for a winter's day! It's cooler today though. You've been such a busy bee lately, so it must be lovely to have a Sunday at home :)

    1. I actually don't feel that busy to be honest. I guess I haven't had to travel in the last week so that takes some pressure off. I feel like I have more time. Having said that, I'm starting to freak out a little bit that I have't written my speech or prepared my PowerPoint for tomorrow's conference. I got sidetracked with a trip to IKEA and the subsequent construction of a new office system ... But today is Monday and there's a lot to love!

  4. Oh it's great you've been able to help a friend out and grow your own knowledge and expertise as well! My part-time gig is fine but I do wish it was a tad more 'informal' if that makes sense. I'd forgotten what working for government was like!

    1. Mine is very informal which is what attracted me to it. I mean, I had to fill out all the forms and commit to the end of the year, but at the same time we can be flexible with my days which means I'm really not giving anything up to be there. It's all a win win.

  5. I'm a bit jealous of that open fire because our air-con has decided to break down and we've been freezing all weekend! However, what I'm Lovin' about Life right now is that I've just written my first sponsored post (linked above)! So exciting! All comments on it greatly appreciated. Yay!

    1. Gotta love an open fire! Our ducted gas heating died at the start of winter and HOLY CRAP it got cold. But we still had our fire :) The ducted heating is all fixed now though.

  6. Oh how I miss wood fires. I'm grateful for a warm house with reverse cycle air conditioning but it's just not the same heat as a wood fire. Love how you are enjoying and embracing your busyness. :-)
