Day 2509 - The Lovin Life Linky - The ABC edition

Lovin' Life is as easy as ABC ...


As Book Week comes to an end I thought I might give you my Lovin' Life post in alphabet format.

Here's what I loved about life this week.



Chatting to the children at Turner School about how I get inspiration for my stories

A is for Author talk which went down a treat at a local Canberra school on Monday.

B is for Book Week which is like Christmas for authors.

C is for Cheer Chick Charlie and all the Children who dressed as Charlie for their Book Week parades.

This is Rachael one of the many fans who dressed as Charlie for Book Week this year


D is for a wonderful wander through the Degas exhibition in Melbourne.

E is for Elephants that the kids and I marvelled over at Melbourne Zoo.

F is for Frequent Flyers which allowed us to go to Melbourne for two nights

G is for my Generous husband who shared his work trip and his hotel room with us.

The Degas exhibition is on at the NGV until mid September 

H is for H&M and the magnificence of their flagship store in the old Post Office building in Melbourne.

I is for the little Italian restaurant called Ca de Vin we found while shopping

J is for the Junket to Melbourne we went on Just because ...

K is for taking the Kids with us.

L is for the Little Lanes you find in the city of Melbourne with cool little eateries like Ca de Vin

H&M Melbourne

M is for Myer and their amazing displays and really cool staircases

N is for Nanna Nap which I had in the top floor pool area at the Crown Metropol

O is for Ohhh my goodness this has been a great week

A lovely place to snooze while the kids enjoyed the pool at the Crown Metropol

P is for the Photos we took.

Q is for Qantas who took us back home

R is for Recovering from two busy days that involved lots of walking

S is for Singing happy birthday to the big grown up Step-daughter as she starts her birthday week

T is for Taking the Time to eat cake and drink Tea with all three kids and our grand daughter

A birthday cake decorated by little miss Lola

U is for Unpacking our bags

V is for Vacuuming the house and the other stuff that brings us back to reality

W is for getting the Washing done in time for work and school tomorrow

X is for getting to eXpress my gratitude every week via the Lovin' Life Linky

Y is for getting to spend time with You as we share our posts.

Z is for the sound I'm going to probably make as I lay on the massage table this afternoon. Zzzzzz

 That's what I've been lovin!

  2. What a week...and what a wonderful list. Enjoy the ZZZZZ part. And isn't book week the best? I am not saying it's the 'dressing up' part because not all people like that but I do like we get to devote MORE time to BOOKS and READING.

    1. As a parent the whole getting dressed up thing can be a bit of a pain. But I can honestly say that seeing my characters come to life like that is one of the greatest things I've experienced as an author. Sure, I love celebrating books in general, but I really REALLY love that children get to jump inside the books during Book Week and then jump back out again as their favourite characters. Bringing books to life ...
