Day 2622 - This time next week

Less than a week until Christmas.

This time next week Christmas will be done and dusted for another year.

This time next week we'll be cleaning up the house after the festivities of the day before.

This time next week we'll be sorting out the left-overs.

This time next week we'll be trying to stuff wrapping paper into the recycle bin.

This time  next week we'll be admiring each other's Christmas gifts.

This time next week we'll be emptying the recycle bin looking for that Westfield gift card or trying to find somebody's left shoe.

This time next week we'll be eating turkey for breakfast.

This time next week we'll be picking up the bad jokes and dodgy gadgets collected from yesterday's bon bons.

This time next week we'll be finding wayward darts in the backyard from the drunken game of "around the world" the night before.

This time next week we'll be trying to stuff just one more lollie into our gobs from the many bowls of treats scattered around the house.

This time next week we'll be video calling our friends in the USA to partake in their Christmas Day.

This time next week we'll be wishing my bestie a happy birthday.

This time next week we'll be grabbing our gift vouchers and wondering whether it's worth tackling the Boxing Day sales.

This time next week we'll be chatting AGAIN about why it's called boxing day and we'll all pull out our phones to google.

This time next week we'll be looking at the photos from the day before.

This time next week I'll be swearing about weight gain and planning my next diet.

This time next week I'll be groaning about the fact that the damn cricket will be taking over the TV.

This time next week I'll be groaning even louder when I realise said cricket game is the one where they all wear white which means it is going to be on our TV for a very looooong time.

This time next week I'll be sad that Christmas is over.

This time next week I'll be happy that Christmas is over.

This time next week I'll be marvelling at the fact that Christmas is over.

This time next week I'll be wondering why I was feeling so stressed in the lead up to Christmas.

This time next week I'll be looking at my kids and wondering where the time has gone.

This time next week we'll be heading off for a few days at the coast.

This time next week I think I might just lay on a beach and sleep.

What will you be doing this time next week?

This post was prompted by Denyse Whelan Blogs for her regular Monday "Life This Week" linky.

  5. Possibly visiting the out-laws (2 hours drive away) for Christmas ... if not on Boxing Day, then definitely some time that week. I will probably be relaxing with a jigsaw while hubster watches some of the cricket.

  11. It all sounds so familiar. Why are bon bon jokes so bad? Wouldn't be the same without them though :)

Our bins will be busting at the seems by pick up next week, good thing there's an empty house next door we can steal the bins from for the week ;)
