Day 2975 - Wellness Wednesday - It's all about apples

An apple a day keeps the doctor away.

We've all heard about antioxidants right?  It's the stuff that helps us fight those free radicals roaming around our body destroying things.

According to Prevention Magazine Australia October/November, free radical damage to the body has been linked to premature ageing ...".

I've written a lot about foods high in antioxidants over the years but I've not yet touched on our good friend, the apple.  It turns out that apples are "packed with immunity-boosting plant nutrients (phytonutrients) that act as antioxidants". Prevention says it's the best fruit to add to your lunch box.

Maybe an apple a day really does keep the doctor away.  Three cheers for apples!
