Day 3060 - The Lovin Life Linky - Making the most of it edition

Finding something good in the challenges.

Woolloomooloo Bay

This week it's my turn to take C to her chemo in Sydney.  Sydney used to be a place of fun and excitement for her, but now it just means cancer.

But rather than wallow in the reality of it all, she makes an effort to create a sense of fun around each visit.  So today, as she goes through her chemo, I'm lovin' that yesterday we sought out some lovely walks and "made the most of it".

The Royal Botanic Garden

St Mary's Cathedral

A wander through the Foyer of the Ovolo Hotel Woolloomooloo

Op Shopping in Newtown

What are you lovin' about life this week?

What can you do this week to "make the most of it" despite the challenges?

It's Lovin' Life Linky time.

The Lovin' Life Linky is brought to you by Team Lovin' Life: Deep Fried Fruit, DebbishSeize the Day ProjectWrite of the MiddleAnd Anyways50 Shades of Age and Lifestyle Fifty

  1. It's a first world problem but work has been a tad challenging of late. I'm writing some of the happier scenes in my current manuscript as a way of lifting out of that general blah. Love the pics by the way.

  2. I hope she's doing ok. Such an exhausting and stressful time for you all. Love the bee photo.

  3. I'm inspired by both your positivity of creating a sense of fun around your visits to Sydney.Your photos look so good.

I feel like my challenges are so insignificant in comparison.

All the best with C's treatments.

  4. I admire your ability to find the positives in these challenging times Leanne. Love the photographs and the places you went. How creative is that bee (or fly) at the royal botanic gardens?! Loving the look of that op shop too! Thinking of you and C. xo #TeamLovinLife

  5. All the best to C! Your photos are great and it was wise of you both to do some lovely walks. The Wellness link up is live on my site so please feel free to link up any of your wellness-related posts.

  6. Ah yes, the trips to Sydney which are for the 'big C'. Know them well. However, yesterday, almost 10 months since my diagnosis I drove myself to Westmead to see the Prosthodontist (so pleased I know his title now I asked!) as my stent in the upper jaw needed adjusting. And, on the back of that I am going to do the next two as well. However, in your case for MsC and for much of the time for me I needed that company, security and support of my husband because 'just dealing the the treatment is enough'. Nice walks. Glad you did some. Is she doing her chemo at COBLH? There are spaces and places there that I have explored on the ground floor when we were early for an appointment: patients and carers lounge with free tea & coffee making, books, magazines, jigsaws tucked away from the life lobby. Hope the reports from her treating doctors are encouraging. Denyse x

  7. Thinking of Ms C especially and hope that her treatment is going well.

  8. So nice that you guys can find some positivity in a not-so-great event in life. The botanical gardens would be a lovely place to wander and feel some serenity before the onslaught of the chemo.

  9. Thinking of C and of you all in this challenging time. So glad that you can defer reality to have a little fun in Sydney - it must be hard, but putting conflicting emotions aside, is surely good. Loved your pics today :)

  10. I think it's so nice to be able to see the positives...not everyone can do that.

  11. It's so good that you try to enjoy what you can. I know the shopping would certainly put a smile on my face!
    Sending love and prayers...

  12. As hard as it is, being upset about life doesn't help any so you may as well enjoy where it takes you. What a great attitude. That big bee is just awesome!

  13. Glad you and C are able to find a positive in it all.

  14. C's most recent news (a few weeks ago) actually sparked the post I wrote this week. Well I wrote it at the time but only posted it this week. It seems so wrong but I love that you're making it all an adventure. xx

I love hearing your thoughts! Keep them rolling in :)
