Why water is more than just a thirst quencher


Water is important for our well-being.  We know that.  But did you know that a lack of fluids can impact on our moods, energy and focus?

According to Prevention Magazine October/November 2017, "being cranky isn't always due to hormones or being 'hangry' - lack of water may be the cause."  They suggest that rather than grab the nearest muffin, that we head to the nearest cold water tap instead.  Insufficient fluids can also lead to  a drop in blood volume which makes the heart work harder, leading to tiredness and lethargy.  Plus studies show that dehydration can affect our emotional balance, ability to reason, attention and memory. 

So all in all, keeping a bottle of water with us and topped up at all times makes good sense for so many reasons.  It's a major part of ageing positively.
