Day 239

Alright, stop your whining, let's get this show on the road. Otherwise Mondayitis is going to last all week. Nobody wants a-week-of-itis. No siree .....

I did a bit of research on the whole Monday-itis thing and it turns out that Splat Sunday can actually cause Monday-itis! Apparently having sleep ins on the weekend is not doing us any favours making us more tired and groggy on a Monday morning. Your body can start to react much like it does with jet lag. So there you have it. Don't sleep in on the weekends, and if you do, be prepared for the consequences! Why? Because some dude at Flinders University said so ...

Bugger. That sucks. I wonder if that includes Nanna naps of an arvo? I look forward to my weekend Nanna nap. Not sure I can ditch the Nanna nap ...

So it's Tuesday and Monday is gone, but I did actually get some stuff done luckily. I can't say it was done with a hell of a lot of enthusiasm mind you, but I did work at the school for a couple of hours, then spent a couple of hours taking care of business stuff, then back to the school for cheer coaching. There is a missing few hours in there which may have got gobbled up with groceries and house work, but I can't be sure. It's a bit of a daze. Monday-itis (and fibro fog) can do that to ya. I was in bed by 8.30 for another 10 hours sleep. I guess all that sleeping isn't helping with the jet lag. But it may be helping me with the head cold so I'll go with it for now ...

Right now I am supposed to be partaking in yoga Tuesday. Clearly that isn't happening because I am here talking to you. But I will make every effort to get it done. There is no success without action after all.



  1. I slept from 7.03pm till 5.00am...10 hours...and my throat and aches feel better. Sleep is vital. Sleep = renewed energy = enthusiasm = subsequent action?

  2. I didn't know you had fibro. That sounds difficult.

    Sleep and I have an elusive relationship. But when we stop flirting I really take advantage. I get eight at the most. When I'm really really lucky.

  4. I've made a unilateral decision that Wednesday is going to be a good day - because the week can't get any worse for any of us.

  5. I know! I have a hard time sleeping usually on Sunday nights because I have caught up over the weekend and my mind is getting ready for work. So, I pop a Tylenol PM on Sunday nights to force myself to get good sleep and circumvent the whole problem.
