Day 349

The morning after the night before ....

It's wasn't a huge night, not even a big one, probably about middle sized.

I'm sitting here amongst empty bottles and cans, surrounded by wine glasses, and a few stacked plates. I've got bunches of balloons still standing tall and proud, candles looked a tad wilted and masquerade masks lying in a big pile. Not quite as neat and tidy and pristine as it all was yesterday arvo, but not bad considering.

As you know we hosted 50th and 25th wedding anniversary celebrations at our house yesterday for Derek's parents and brother/sister-in-law. We had an Italian menu and gold and silver decorations with a masquerade twist. The masks were just to add an element of fun and "remember when" to the event. Anyway, it was a very nice evening.

Right now we are getting breakfast sorted for those that camped here and then we are off on another Langdown adventure. Something about a steam train, a pub, some markets and a little country town.

  1. Looks like it was an awesome night! I love the masquerade theme.

Hope you guys have a wonderful day today.

Celebrating special events like these at home are always more memorable and personal than going out.

  2. That looks FABULOUS. I hope you have a great day, and that someone ELSE happens to clean it up.

  3. Wouldn't that be nice if there were cleaning fairies. The green mask with feathers looks just like one I made for my daughters prom date last year, I had a duoble take happen when I looked at your pic.

I love hearing your thoughts! Keep them rolling in :)
