Day 517

Today is Monday ... it is the day I wear my cheer hat. I was going to do something really cheerful and energetic with you but it's been a rough night.  Our little man has been up all night with a gastro vomiting bug, so Mummy has been by his side since 1.00am.  There's been a lot of washing of sheets, towels, lounge covers and pyjamas.   Lot's of Dettol and scrubbing. Lots of spraying Glen 20 around the house. Yes, it's been messy. And scary.  Collapsing in my arms after the toilet, losing control of his bowel, a bit of choking ..... that sort of thing. I thought about a run to the hospital but then reconsidered when I thought about hanging out in the waiting room at Emergency.   He's lucid. There is no fever. He's relatively happy.  And there have been no tears.  He's a big brave boy ....  so no need for hospital run just yet. While Darby lacks resilience in some areas, he's very strong when it comes to illness.  I think he'll be ok. I think we'll be ok. Need lots of tiny sips of water. When all this is finally out of his system I think we might just lie in bed together and have a big cuddly snooze.  All day ...
