Day 1047 - A Comfy Achievement

It's amazing what you can accomplish in Uggs!

Yesterday I had a day in the home office so I wore my Uggs from dawn until well after dusk.  Who knew you didn't have to get dressed in business gear to achieve business results? I am here to tell you, it's amazing what you can achieve in a pair of Uggs, some paint stained cargo pants and a woolly jumper.

Here is what can be done in a Deep Fried home office wearing Uggs.

  • Walk the dog
  • Jog to the corner and back
  • Do the school runs
  • Receive book three of my series and "release" it on the website and on social media
  • Help Husband unpack a gazillion boxes and stack them in the garage
  • Package up the advance orders of book three
  • Visit the local post box
  • Receive phone calls including one about filming next week for Canberra Business Awards finalists
  • Announce to the world (well, my world) that Cheer Chick Charlie is a finalist in the 2012 Canberra Business Point awards
  • Do a celebratory dance and a big woot woot!
  • Write draft script for filming of finalists
  • Send it in
  • Organise the weekend's cheerleading competition including the program, volunteers and music
  • Send emails to school cheer squad about the competition.
  • Take Darby to soccer
  • Bring him straight back home again due to rain (or is that sleet?)
  • Prepare speech outline for next week's speaking engagement
  • Cook steak and yummy zucchini/bacon/onion/capsicum stir fry stuff
  • Try to think of a name for zucchini/bacon/onion/capsicum stir fry stuff
  • Settle on zucchini stir fry stuff
  • Open bottle of celebratory champagne
  • Flick through book three with trepidation hoping no mistakes
  • Quickly put champagne down until later
  • Take Tahlia to cheerleading stunt classes
  • Head back home to champagne
  • Realise I have to collect Tahlia from stunting so put champagne down until later
  • Find a colouring mistake on cover of book 3. *&^%$#@&^%$#!!!!!
  • Say "for fuck's sake" a lot
  • Decide that publishing books is fascinating and hysterically funny and realise I have something to focus on in my challenges section at the speaking engagement next week
  • Collect Tahlia from cheerleading
  • Drink bottle of champagne
  • Go to bed wearing Uggs
  • Think absently about approaching Uggs for some sponsorship
  • Snore

  1. Can you believe that I don't own a pair?! This is my 4th winter in Australia and I'm still Uggless. I need to sort it out asap!

  2. Impressive. I think I need to buy a pair. Rachel x

  3. Don't know about you, but I'm exhausted. I never achieve that much in my uggs.

  4. All hail the humble ugg!

I'm super productive in mine. I have an indoor pair and a pair with grip soles for outdoors.

    SSG xxx

  5. That's certainly a full day, I'm tired just reading it!
The sole came off one of my Uggs so I haven't been able to wear them, I'll probably fix it in time for spring. I'm not as productive as you! ;-)

  6. I think I am at my most efficient in my pjs and uggs

  7. You are unstoppable in those uggies!
My boyfriend bought me uggies for my birthday when Id only known him a few months, he had my heart from that moment onwards and still has it now! Best present ever. They are my first ridgydig original wool uggies and compared to the cheap kmart ones they dont even come close!

  8. Haha, love it! I reckon yours are magic Ugg soon as you put them on...voila! You get everything done! (As well as polish off a bottle of champers to boot!) ;)

  9. Sounds like you had a great day, I'd like a pair of ugh boots like yours!

  10. My Uggs were so magic that I woke up at 1.00am and didn't get back to sleep. So I got up and kept powering away. I've had to take them off ... I'm too Deep Fried to go without my beauty sleep ....

I love hearing your thoughts! Keep them rolling in :)
