Day 1136 - Food Diary

It's a "Wordless Wednesday", which means it's time for some pictures...

I thought I might share my food diary with you.  Over the Aussie winter I put on around 4 kgs.  It was a combination of winter warmth and cravings, as well as two overseas trips and quite few weekends away with the Charlie stall where pizza may have been my food of choice. In any case it's time to shed in readiness for a summer at the beach so I have given myself a strict eating regime.  Here is this week's food diary in pictorial form. I'll keep you posted as to whether it works or not! Let the shedding begin ....

Breakfast: vanilla yoghurt, special forumla women's cereal,
blueberries and chia seeds*
Cup of green tea

Morning tea: crisp bread with avocado and chia seeds*
Handful of blueberries and cashew nuts on the side
Note: thin layer of spring onion dip to give some taste

Lunch: Pea and ham soup with a cup of green tea

Dinner: Chicken thigh with mustard and dill, vegetables.
Note: Shedding rule - to only eat what can fit on a bread and butter plate at dinner
Glass of water.

* Chia seeds are one of those "wonder foods".  You can read all about it here. Very high in antioxidants and other fabulous things. And they have no taste so you can sprinkle them on anything.

Wednesday morning weight 3 days in: 67.8kg
Seriously?!?! Win!!! 
Perhaps I should weigh myself tonight to ensure most accurate result. Seems a little too good to be true. 


  1. I think Iv put on about 5kgs this year and as summer looms closer Im starting to eat lighter, salads for lunch wherever possible and drink a truckload of water! I thought those seeds were cracked pepper for a moment there - thats some serious pepper heat cravings!
    Youve made a start which is the hardest step, good luck x
