Tahlia Langdown wearing Cover Girl Photography by Juzz Photography Make-up applied by Samara Gentle |
For Tahlia's recent photo shoot CoverGirl sent us some make-up to trial as a bit of a Mummy and Daughter joint exercise. Tahlia is wearing their all new Clump Crusher by Lashblast Mascara, CoverGirl Blast Flipstick in "whisper" and her face has been highlighted with the new CoverGirl + Olay Pressed Powder in "light". Her hair has been washed with Pantene Pro V Beautiful Lengths shampoo and conditioner.
Her make-up was applied by professional make-up artist Samara Gentle of SG Makeup in the ACT so of course it looks spectacular. But the good news is I have trialed it myself, and Tahlia continues to use it, and it is easy to apply and looks just as good as it does here in this photo. Well ... almost. We're not quite as artistic as Samara is.
What I like about the mascara is the brush. The eyelashes stay separated and don't get all messy and stuck. The more you apply the bigger and longer they become and still no clumping! The brush is kind of curved and "lash hugging" which has been built to fit the shape of the eye. It's kinda cool.
The Blast Flipstick (lipstick) is great because it has two shades of the same colour in one applicator. Tahlia is wearing the matt version of Whisper which is a softly textured plum. She could also have used the shimmery pink option, or even blended both together for a very classy look. I personally like to wear both together day or night to keep me feeling less Deep Fried.
The CoverGirl and Olay pressed powder is silky smooth and provides a lightweight coverage. The wonder of this little compact is that it not only absorbs facial oils etc, but has some nifty Olay skin conditioning ingredients which moisturises as well. We got the "light" colour which probably isn't the best match for either of our skin tones, which is why Samara only used it to highlight Tahlia's face rather than for coverage. However, I'm sure if you choose the right colour it would work well. You may like to use your own applicator/sponge. It comes with one but we often prefer to use our own brushes or applicator.
It wasn't all about Tahlia though! I joined P!nk and became the unofficial
