Who likes to dance?
I'm very big on chair dancing (whether it be at my desk or driving the car) and I'm also known to have private discos at home (so private that I'm the only one invited) while Derek is at work and the kids are at school. As you know, I'm also a cheer coach which incorporates a bit of dancing as well. So yeah, I like to dance. Sometimes I wonder though whether it might be worth signing up for some lessons or going to a dance club to really set the floor on fire. Recent studies have shown that putting on your dancing shoes can reduce your risk for dementia. Interesting!
So I ask you: Do you dance? Do you attend classes? Do you go nightclubbing? Or is your dancing a little more private like mine is?
I love dancing - I'm a bad dancer but I don't care. We don't go dancing often tho - the Zombie prom was fun for that. Old people out dancing with the young people...hehehe
ReplyDeleteI am a chair dancer too, mostly because I never know what to do with my feet while standing up and dancing! I also dance - standing up - when inebriated. :) I would love to take dance lessons, just to learn a few moves so I don't look like a moron when out! I also want my husband and I to take ballroom dance classes. He's agreed to do it, it's just getting around to actually doing it!! x Aroha (for #teamIBOT)
ReplyDeleteI go to clogging every Saturday. At 34, I might be the youngest person there... but don't be fooled by all the grey hair! It's a mix between line dancing and Irish dancing/tap and my pedometer says 5000+ steps per hour. You really work up a sweat! I'd love to try an adult ballet class but I can't find one. Do it! I really love my hour of 'creative' time that works out my brain too.
ReplyDeleteI love dancing but I am not very good at it! It has been a long time since I have been dancing in a night club. I did watch a Zumba class the other day that looked like fun. Sometimes the kids and I dance in the loungeroom.
ReplyDeleteI love a good dance and a sing. Can hold my own on the dance floor but the singing....
ReplyDeleteI LOVE dancing and miss my clubbing days for that reason only. I wish there was more of that out here of any kind. I have the music on right now and love to dance and clean.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah!
ReplyDeleteI danced for many years during my time at school, took to night club dancing in my 20's and pretty much these days either:
1. Dance up a storm with Mr4. Can be anything from the Wiggles to Cold Chisel.
2. End off all our dinner parties with a bit of a jig and a lot of laughter (drinks are very helpful!)
Oh yeah, I love to dance :)
I love dancing, but only around the house these days :)
ReplyDeleteI've taken classes back at City College years ago. He's an amazing teacher! Charismatic and engaging. He loved what he was doing and he's been doing it for a while. I'm glad to be with him.

ReplyDeleteNever had lessons, did modern/jazz as a young teen and got to quite high level but think as I got older I lost confidence and become more aware - HOWEVER, since having kids I have lost most of my ability to get embarrassed!
ReplyDeleteI danced a lot when younger, up to the age of 24, funk, hip hop, jazz and modern jazz. 6 months ago I took up Zumba classes, which I LOVE! As of next week I am enrolled on a pole dancing course. I am so glad I took up dancing again as it is my passion! :)
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of chair dancing...I think I need to start doing the whole dancing while doing the housework again xxx
ReplyDeleteI used to tap dance and I loved it. I have stopped and started over the years with the kids. I don't live anywhere near a tap studio now so my dancing is limited to creative ways to climb my stairs!
ReplyDeleteAm loving all these dancers!
ReplyDeleteSix Little Hearts: I read that as "I used to lap dance and I loved it" which completely threw me. Kinda relieved it ended up being tap dancing (LOL) ...
