So I'm looking for something (anything) to tell me all this chocolate is good for me. And it turns out, the evidence for chocolate's health benefits just keep piling up! Woot!
UK researchers have found that dark chocolate and natural cocoa powder contain more flavenois and polyphenols than the juices of superfoods such as blueberries and cranberries. It also has twice the levels of antioxidants than read wine! These antioxidants help reduce heart disease and fight ageing. Yahooo!!!! I'm clearly getting younger and younger and healthier and healthier by the mouthful ...
The bad news is that all this sugar and the over indulgence is still piling on the kilos. There may be some health benefits to a daily dose of choccy, but it seems that moderation is still the key.
Bugger ....
Are your Christmas gifts make in you fat?

ReplyDeleteNope, because I can't eat books...but the celebrating isn't doing me any favours!
ReplyDeleteHappy xmas to you, and enjoy the holidays...
I have some Guylian in the fridge, and even the picture in this post makes me crave chocolate! What hope have I got? :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't been indulging in the chocolate much, but christmas biscuits will be keeping the pants tight! Some dark chocolate for chrissie would be lovely and I have the perfect excuse to eat it all ;)
ReplyDeleteThere is a distinct lack of chocolate under our tree. I must have a word with my loved ones about that. Good to hear that a little chocolate is good; it will strengthen my case as to why they should buy me more chocolate!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Christmas!
