What's your idea of a sleep-in?
Last night I found it hard to keep my eyes open past 8.00pm and didn't surface this morning until 7.45am. That's almost 12 hours sleep! That's definitely a sleep-in in my books. In fact, 7.00am would consititute a sleep-in as far as I'm concerned. Given I'm usually up around 5.00 or 5.30 these extra few hours are a definite bonus.
What's a sleep-in look like to you?
Oh I love a good sleep in. After a week of bed hopping with the kids on holidays, the hubster and I slept in until 8am this morning in our own bed! :)
ReplyDeleteAny time when I don't have an alarm set and I can stay in bed until I'm not tired anymore, that's a sleep in! Holiday mode at the moment, it's pretty great. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI am so badly in need of a sleep-in after a week away with the girls by myself. I was hopping today, being back in somewhat familiar ground at my Mum's, and after traveling all day yesterday with minimal day sleeps that they would both sleep a little later but no. Punky woke at 5am, a good hour and a half earlier than usual. Argh!
ReplyDeleteIt's not so much a sleep in that I crave for these days...it's uninterrupted sleep! Gimme 4 hours of that and I'll be a new person!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Grace - I'm coveting uninterrupted sleep these days. Hubby lets me have a 'sleep in' of sorts on a Sunday but it's the kind that comes with small people running in and out every few minutes...
ReplyDeleteA sleep in for me is anything after 8am. If you'd told me that 5 years ago I would have laughed in your face!
ReplyDeleteA sleep in for me would be a night where I have slept ALL night, without having to get up to one of the girls. That broken sleep is a killer. I haven't had a proper 'sleep-in' for at least 4 years!
