Day 1552 - Beach Time

Today I am grateful for having such easy access to the beach ....

It's no secret that we spend much of January at the coast.  We are fortunate to have Derek's parents house at our disposal, as well as our own holiday cottage (although we rent that out over summer to help pay the mortgage).  This year is a little odd because Derek's parents aren't actually in their house.  They are back in Canberra while Grandad goes through radiation therapy for prostrate cancer.  I didn't want to have fun at the beach while they were fighting this battle, but Grandad is feeling really well (so far) and they are treating their Canberra stay as a bit of a holiday, plus they insisted we enjoy our summer, so here we are.

Our MO is usually working Monday through to Thursday lunch time back in Canberra, then "work from home" on Thursday arvo and Friday from the comfort of a coastal air conditioned lounge room. It's the same plan for this year.

It is a life of our own creation and for another year we're going to enjoy it immensely.

We are grateful for these opportunities full of family experience, bonding, relaxation and TIME.

Happy summer!
