Fast forward to this morning and I'm now screaming every time I move. Getting out of bed was an event not unlike a turtle trying to roll of its back. The pain in my left leg is more than just "wow my muscles have had a workout" and my lower back and arse (yep, it's even affecting my butt) is a hotspot of spasms right now. I can hardly stand ... or sit ... let alone walk.
The worst part of all this is I have a wedding to go to on the weekend and I want to wear high heels!
Hmmmm.
I'm seriously getting too old for this shit.
The interesting thing is that I stretch regularly (5 times a week) and I am not getting any looser. I don't now if I should throw in the towel with all this exercise rubbish, or step it up a notch and sign up for pilates or yoga in my quest to become a flexi bendy pretzel. I swear I have the body of a 90 year old ...
Anyone got some advice for the Deep Fried walking wounded?
Here's an interesting article from the Sunday Mercury about bad backs in archaeological studies (dating way back to the cave man).
Ouch. Nothing worse than trying to do good and ending up worse off. Hope the pain eases for you soon. Maybe stretch it out? Ha! X
ReplyDeleteNo advice but hope you can wear the heels!!
ReplyDeleteOooh dear. That does not sound good. A trip to the physio might be in order for today!!
ReplyDeleteYes, I'd say the Physio is definitely on the agenda. Get better soon :)
ReplyDeleteOuch! Feeling sore for you! I hate how long these injuries take to heal as we age! I wish I could spring back like I used to (such an old lady thing to say!)
ReplyDeleteWell you certainly don't look old even if you feel it. I just walk.I try to do at least 40 minutes a day to keep the love handles away. I sincerely hope you feel better soon especially for the wedding :)
ReplyDeleteI have no idea but my impression was stretching warms up muscles to prevent injuries .
ReplyDeleteI noticed a difference once I started Pilates in my flexibility. Hope the physio can shed some light.
The body of a pregnant woman makes space to accommodate the child, which means supporting extra weight. This, in turn, puts pressure on the back. And if the back muscles are not strong enough, back pain is quite obviously a natural consequence.does inversion help lower back pain
ReplyDeletehowdy, your websites are really good. I appreciate your work. double block and bleed valves
