All I can say is the sun is shining, the sky is blue, the sand is white and the water is glistening.  We checked into the Chevron Renaissance yesterday after getting a super duper deal a few months back.  Derek found a special online where if you book and pay three months in advance of your stay, you get the resort for 50% off (not refundable).  So for our five days we are only paying around $660.  Bargain!  Pretty good spot too. It takes up a full city block with three towers to choose from and a massive pool complex. It's situated right in the middle of Surfer's Paradise, on top of a shopping centre, two blocks from main beach, a gazillion eateries to choose from and in the midst of the holiday energy.
