Today's breakfast smoothie |
So last night I started eating soup. While I served up spaghetti bolognese to the rest of the family I limited myself to a whizzed up concoction of potatoes, peas, cauliflower, kale, carrots and onion. Pureed to perfection as I don't do chunky bits. Vegetable soup with cut of veges still in tact don't turn me on. Those carrots are just too vomitous for my liking.
This morning I turned my attention to smoothies. I've whizzed up frozen blueberries, banana, baby kale, chia seeds and vanilla yoghurt. I would have been better with natural yoghurt but I don't have any in the fridge.
Basically in my attempt to lose 6 kgs in three days I've resorted to baby food. Nothing but puree is passing these lips. It's the "baby food diet".
Obviously it isn't going to do anything in the short term, and my Vegas junket is going to have to take place while wearing a 14DD, but the idea that I might be losing a couple of kilos and feel somewhat empty in the mid zone may give me some comfort and a false sense of slimness.
Besides ... I'm going to Vegas ... a place where I am bound to eat copious amounts of food and drink lots of silly cocktails. I need to create a space to fit it all in.
Do you ever panic and resort to crazy measures to lose weight quickly?
What tips and tricks do you have for a quick "cleanse".
Is it possible that I will come home a 16E?
Oh yes, unfortunately, I fall into this trap all the time. However, it rarely ever works.
ReplyDeleteFor me, I always go for a juice cleanse. I'm doing one right now, so we'll see how it goes. I'm not using it to lose weight, per say, I just want to reset and restart my routine.
Have fun in Vegas, I'll be there next week! :D
Yes I have done similar things too. I'm sure though, when you get to Vegas you won't be worried about your weight and you will see a lot of larger sizes there to make you feel better. I once did the cabbage diet which was basically cabbage soup but by day 2 I got a vomiting bug and it put me off completely. I didn't lose much weight either doing the soup and vomiting.

ReplyDeleteYour post made me smile because I do things like this. I am so impatient with weight loss. I also want to lose weight with minimal effort. :)
ReplyDeleteI've found the best way to lose weight is good old exercise. And unfortunately there are no shortcuts :-(
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Vegas trip no matter what size you are wearing!

This is me right now - trying very hard not to eat all the crap that I have in the past 3 months that have made me put on 6 kgs, slow and steady really does suck right? I'm going no carbs, or few carbs. Also a Musashi fat metabolisor with carnitine, Google (spelled the named wrong too but you get the gist) xx
ReplyDeleteI need to lose a couple of kilos' but I'm not good with smoothies. Just can't do it.
ReplyDeleteI just need to cut back on chocolate. And probably a little bit of wine.
And bread.
And doritos.
The list goes on.....
