Day 1980 - Big Hero 6 #win #Disney

Want to be one of the first in Australia to own Big Hero 6?

You can bring the whole family together when Big Hero 6 is released on Digital, Blu-ray and DVD on March 25.  I personally can't wait!

The 2015 Academy Award winner of the Best Animated Feature Film takes you on a journey with a robotics prodigy and a plus-sized inflatable robot who develop a special bond during a quest to solve an unsettling mystery.

The story involves a 14 year old robotics genius called Hiro who spends his days (and nights) in back alley robot fights.  He manages to turn his hobby into full time study by applying himself at university creating miniature bots. Triumph turns to tragedy when his older brother dies and Hiro is so taken by grief that he heads into seclusion.

Long story short, big old Baymax comes to life and begins to pull Hiro out of this grief,  They discover that someone has been using Hiro's microbot technology to do evil things so Hiro grabs a bunch of his nerdy friends together to create a band of high-tech heroes called "Big Hero 6".

Baymax turns out to be a whole lot more than just a robot.  He becomes Hiro's best friend.

The movie is all about friendships and what it really means to be a hero.

You can have this latest Disney flick right in your own home with the Blu-ray and DVD having extra bits like deleted scenes and behind the scene footage of the leading animators discussing how they have become the heroes they are today.

The movie is rated PG and goes for 102 minutes. It was created at Walt Disney Animation Studios by the same team that created Frozen and Wreck It Ralph. Produced by Roy Conli and Directed by Don Hall and Chris Williams.  The voice cast includes Scott Adsit, Ryan Potter, Daniel Henney, TJ MIller, Jamie Chung, Damon Wayans Jr, Genesis Rodriguez, James Cromwell, Alan Tudyk and Maya Rudolph.

  1. My hero is my husband. He is so calm & fair & patient & smart & loving. I grew up not knowing that men could be that way. It takes courage to be true to yourself, and he always is.

A hero? I look at my two boys and think they are each others hero. At times I think they see their Dad as their hero. As for me? I'm starting to trust that deep down....I am my own hero - we all have to be don't we?

  3. We saw this recently and went in not expecting much, but came out and just loved it!

My hero is my husband. He is tireless, committed, loving and puts all of his girls (including me) first.

  4. Oh I really want to see this movie!
My heroes are my kids. They forgive effortlessly when I stuff up. They don't hold it against me, and they are just amazing people.

  5. Oh I really want to see this movie!
My heroes are my kids. They forgive effortlessly when I stuff up. They don't hold it against me, and they are just amazing people.

  6. All of my friends are my heros, but as I just recovered from a nasty ear infection and ran home to my mother to recover (and let her help me) I have to say that she's my hero. She does so much for others (volunteer work most days) and never (well, rarely) complains.

  7. My sister is my friend & my friend is my sister. She is my rock, my confidante and my hero. Always reliable & dependable in a sometimes chaotic world.

  8. My 7 year old son is my friend & my HERO - With severe eczema on his body ,he tries his best to not to scratch & helps me in taking care of him. There are so many restrictions on his diet & he never shows a tantrum to eat stuff thats not good for him- considering his age -these are qualities of a hero...

  9. My hero is one of my aunties. She has been through so much and still manages to keep a smile on her face. She is a single mum to two gorgeous boys who are special needs. They are 13 and 15, one has autism and is unable to talk and the other has ADHD while struggling with severe anxiety. She handles all of that on her own while dealing with her own health issues. She is definitely my hero.

  10. Oh wow, how have I not heard of this movie? It sounds fantastic! I'd love to win a copy. My hero is my friend who manages to keep on keeping on when she has an autistic son and husband who have good patches and spectacularly bad ones. Her refusal to give up has just resulted in her son finishing his first year at uni and flying, by himself, to the US to see his girlfriend. #TeamIBOT

  11. This movie looks awesome!! I have to vote for my brother as a hero in my life right now. His wife gave birth to twins at just 32 weeks yesterday and he has been an absolute rock for her during such stressful times.

I love hearing your thoughts! Keep them rolling in :)
