Day 2025 - Mantra French Quarter - Noosa #Noosa

The Mantra French Quarter

We've been staying at the Mantra French Quarter right at the southern end of Hastings Street.  It's the perfect location.

We can walk across the road to the beach, around the corner to hire a paddle board and across the road to eat at the Surf Club.

We're right on the edge of the national park for our morning walks.

We're 100 metres from a Seven Eleven, 100 metres from a bottle shop and 200 metres from a slightly larger convenience store.

The Hastings Street shopping boutiques are literally at our door.  As are all the eateries and many well renowned restaurants.

The only real disadvantage has been that the nearest supermarket is over three kilometres away which is a bit tricky without a car.  You can do what we did and order home delivery from Woolworths online (although that came with a few challenges) or you can do what Mum did and walk to the shops then catch a taxi back once you're loaded with heavy shopping bags.

We got a pretty good deal at the Mantra.  We've paid around $220 a night for a two bedroom fully self contained apartment with Hastings Street view.  The apartment has everything we need including:

  • two bathrooms, 
  • queen bedroom, 
  • twin bedroom, 
  • laundry nook, 
  • kitchen with full sized fridge, microwave, stove top, dishwasher and bench top island with bar stools. 
  • modular lounge suite, coffee table and large TV
  • big balcony with table and seating for 6 plus two sun beds.
The complex has a lovely pool area surrounded with palm trees and sunbeds, two spas and a sauna room.  The pool is supposedly heated but at this time of year it is still a little cool, particularly once the shadows of the trees and buildings set in.

There are no BBQs around the complex which is unfortunate but you can hire a BBQ for $15 a day for your balcony if you wish, plus there is a nearby riverside park that has free electric BBQs and a great view of the amazing canal houses.

Each room is different but from the rooms we've seen the decor is very appealing. Our room couldn't be better.  I could live here!

Except for the lack of storage.  Very small wardrobes.

We've really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.
