Did you know that apricots are packed with beta-caretone which is a compound that helps ward off the damaging effects of the sun. Very important for me as I return from the desert heat of Las Vegas.
According to Elizabeth Ward, author of "My Plate for Moms: How to Feed Yourself and Your Family", apricots are also full of fibre, potassium, and copper which promotes bone and immune health.
Note: They are much better in their fresh form as the dried variety are higher in calories and sugar.
