Day 2091 - Power Foods: Eggs

Want to start your day with some extra energy?

Today's breakfast - imperfect eggs on a bed of baby spinach

Choose eggs! They're high in protein with each egg containing around 6g of protein (half in the yoke and half in the white). Apparently us ladies need about 45g protein so two eggs for breakfast gets us off to a great start.

They say that eggs should also keep us fuller for longer,  According to Dr Oz in Good Health Magazine July 2015, a US study found that people who ate an egg for breakfast had lower levels of grehlin (a hormone that stimulates appetite) three hours after their breakfast, compared to people who ate cereal with the similar protein quantities.

I know what I'm having for breakfast today!

  1. Yum! I do love a good old poached egg for breakfast! Actually we usually have poached eggs for dinner once a week... it's our quick and easy go-to dinner!

I love hearing your thoughts! Keep them rolling in :)
