Even our garden looks half decent in spring.
We're really bad in the garden. Brown thumbs. The Husb's is slightly green I guess (kind of khaki) but overall our garden is very self sufficient.
So it surprises me that come spring time, our garden actually doesn't look half bad!
Sure there are bushes that need trimming, vines that need cutting back and bulbs that should have been split, but hey ... there's pink stuff and green stuff and overall it's looking fairly decent.
Three cheers for self sufficient gardens!
Three cheers for blue skies, green grass and pink flowers!
And three cheers for Pic Monkey that makes fabulous collages where my yard looks almost inspiring.
I think this is just lovely Leanne! We are renting this year and I have missed seeing the progress of the gardens (not major!) we made and nurtured. However, I am noticing, even in this fairly neglected garden where we are that no matter what up comes nature. So, I have photographed the plants that flower as a tribute to where we are this spring! Denyse x PS do you got to Floriade? I took Dad a few years back and whilst I am not that keen on large crowds I did love the masses of colour.
ReplyDeleteYou know what, it's right at my doorstep and I rarely go. I always enjoy myself once I'm there, and it makes for great photos, but like you I'm not a fan of the "hoo haa". If ever you're back this way, let me know! I'd love a bloggy catch up :)
Deleteso good to have self sufficient plants, I have such a brown thumb when it comes to plants, I even kill the herbs!
ReplyDeleteI am sure I would kill the herbs too. I don't even try to grow them!
DeletePerhaps you have brown thumbs, but you've also gotten some nice shots!
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll come link up at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2015/09/allium-glorious.html
Thanks :) Will come and check it out!
DeleteBeautiful. I love the green and pink, it all looks pretty healthy :) I love the camellia and the carpet they make on the ground. So pretty. I have a white one in my driveway.
ReplyDeleteSee, you're speaking a language I don't understand. I don't know the names of my plants! LOL
DeleteBeautiful! Here in Mississippi, our gardens are winding down so I love seeing the blooms starting on the other side of the world
ReplyDeleteStopping by from Steph's Joy.
I've been to Mississippi! Beautiful part of the world.
DeleteAwww your garden looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pixie Dusk!
