Are you using boiled eggs in your summer salads?
Hard boiled eggs are a great snack and good source of protein. They also contain good cholesterol for a healthy heart. There are also a bunch of vitamins in there like A, B5, B12, B2, folate, phosphorus and selenium. Plus some D, E, K, B6, calcium and zinc. As well s Lutein and Zeaxanthin Antioxidants that have major benefits for eye health. Hell, it's a multi-vitamin all wrapped up in a shell!
I just learned that if you splash some vinegar in the cooking water first, the vinegar will soften the eggshell as it cooks which makes peeling off the shell so much easier.
How eggs-citing. Eggs seem to be eggs-actly what we need.

I love them in caesar salad especially.
ReplyDeleteOnce we have our own chickens' eggs I'll do it everyday.
Oh yes. Home grown eggs would be the best!
